Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or its equivalent from a reputable University
  • MBA/M.Sc. is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant professional experience with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in roadworks and bridge construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of road and bridge construction techniques, materials and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, team management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, permits and safety standards in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is an added advantage.

Job Duties
Project Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, budget, schedule and resource allocation.
  • Create project timelines, milestones, deliverables for each project at hand.

Construction Expertise:

  • Possess specialized knowledge in road and bridge construction, including construction methods, materials and relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the construction of roads, bridges and related infrastructure projects.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all roadworks and bridge construction work adheres to the design specification and meets industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Implement quality control processes and inspection.

Budget Management:

  • Monitor project costs and expenditures, controlling the project’s financial performance.
  • Address cost overruns and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.

Time Management:

  • Manage project schedules to meet deadlines and milestones.

Safety and Environmental Considerations:

  • Maintain detailed project records and documentation, including progress reports, change orders and construction documentation
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
