QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have a Degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA(K) holder;
  
• Have served in Yetu Sacco or a comparable organization for at least Two (2) years preferably;
  
• Team player with good leadership skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  
• Unquestionable integrity and strong ethical standards;
  
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations;
  
• Have demonstrable understanding of Audit function.

• Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
  
• A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau CRB

JOB REF: YSL/IAA/2024ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring adherence to all financial accounting policies and procedures;
  
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines;
  
• Undertaking a variety of audit assignments relating to pre-audit of payments, evaluation and review of internal control systems;
  
• Reconciliation of budgetary allocations with monthly expenditures summaries;
  
• Drafting preliminary audit reports, queries and observations for Internal Auditor’s consideration;
  
• Conduct periodic stock takes/audits;
  
• Conduct investigations as may be directed by the internal auditor;
  
• Maintaining files and supporting documentation for audits and other assignments;
  
• Follow up on recommendations made in both internal and external audit reports;
  
• Any other lawful duties as may be assigned from time to time.
