We are seeking a result-oriented and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee all aspects of our apartment's operations and ensure its success. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, result-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, driving revenue, and enhancing accountability. The Hotel Manager will be responsible for managing the Apartment’s marketing, internal controls, HR management, front office operations, stakeholder management, and cost control while developing strategies to improve room occupancy.


Responsibilities

We are seeking a result-oriented and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee all aspects of our apartment's operations and ensure its success. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, result-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, driving revenue, and enhancing accountability. The Hotel Manager will be responsible for managing the Apartment’s marketing, internal controls, HR management, front office operations, stakeholder management, and cost control while developing strategies to improve room occupancy.


Strategy and Financial Planning:
The Hotel Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and financial objectives to drive the profitability and long-term success of the hotel.


Hotel Marketing:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract guests and increase revenue. This includes online and offline marketing initiatives, promotions, and partnerships to drive bookings and occupancy rates.


Internal Controls:
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. This includes overseeing financial transactions, inventory management, and risk mitigation.


HR Management:
Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff to ensure high levels of performance and guest satisfaction. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to promote a positive work environment and employee engagement.


Front Office Operations:
Oversee front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, reservations management, and guest services. Ensure efficient and seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure.


Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including owners, investors, vendors, and community partners. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive growth.


Cost Control:
Monitor and control expenses to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.


Room Occupancy Improvement:
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to develop strategies for increasing room occupancy and revenue. Implement pricing strategies, packages, and promotional offers to attract guests and maximize occupancy rates.


Customer Service Excellence:
Foster a culture of excellence in customer service throughout the hotel. Empower staff to anticipate and exceed guest expectations, resolve issues promptly, and create memorable experiences.


Procurement and Supplies:
the Hotel Manager oversees procurement and supply chain activities to ensure efficient operations and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.


Compliance:
Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts including, security books, filling of statutory returns, maintenance of the specific business licenses and permits, adhere to the required OSH regulations


Hotel Setup and SOPs:

Overseeing hotel setup and the development of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma from Kenya Utalii College or

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Hotel Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
