Dental Specialist I- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Requirements for Appointment

1. Be a Citizen of Kenya;
   
2. At least seven (7) years’ experience, three (3) of which must have been at senior management level in either Public or Private Sector;
   
3. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (DS) degree or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
   
4. Masters of Dental Surgery degree in any of the following disciplines: - Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, Dental Biomaterials, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology, Dental Anesthesia, Forensic Odontology, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral Implantology, Orthodontics, Aesthetic Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial/Dental Radiology and Community Dentistry or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
   
5. Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
   
6. Valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
   
7. Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution;
   
8. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
   
9. Demonstrated ability and competence in organizing, performing and discharging the dental function.
