  • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Microbiology / Molecular Biology/ Biotech-nology/ Genomics or any related biological science course from a recognized insti-tution and should have registered for M.Sc. in the above fields.
  • Be familiar with conducting extensive literature reviews
  • Conversant with basic microbial culture techniques and epidemiology
  • Be familiar with whole genome sequence technologies and applications


Responsibilities

Vacancy Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Microbiology / Molecular Biology/ Biotech-nology/ Genomics or any related biological science course from a recognized insti-tution and should have registered for M.Sc. in the above fields.
  • Be familiar with conducting extensive literature reviews
  • Conversant with basic microbial culture techniques and epidemiology
  • Be familiar with whole genome sequence technologies and applications


  • Conducting fieldwork for data collection, including surveys and sample collection.
  • Conducting laboratory experiments to optimize ONT protocols for pathogen de-tection.
  • Utilizing ONT sequencing and bioinformatics tools to analyze genomic data and identify disease pathogens and antimicrobial resistance genes.
  • Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, government officials, and community stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of research find-ings.
  • Participating in training sessions and workshops aimed at building research transla-tion skills and promoting evidence-based policymaking.
