The Uganda Country Coordinator will play a pivotal role in advancing EAVCA’s mission within Uganda. This dynamic position requires a visionary leader who can propel the EAVCA Uganda chapter to new heights. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the venture capital landscape, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving economic development through investment. As the chapter enters its fourth year, the coordinator will be instrumental in expanding our reach and impact.


Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, management consulting or a related field, with a proven track record of success.

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop a compelling vision for the growth of the chapter.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills with experience in managing programs and initiatives from inception to completion.

• Experience in advocacy and policy engagement, with a deep understanding of the regulatory environment affecting Private Capital in Uganda.

• Proven ability to identify and secure funding opportunities to support organizational goals.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving results.

• Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the EAVCA Uganda chapter, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and objectives of EAVCA.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, entrepreneurs, government agencies, and other relevant entities.

• Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs and initiatives aimed at fostering investment and entrepreneurship in Uganda.

• Advocacy and Representation: Represent EAVCA in various forums, advocating for policies and practices that support venture capital and private equity investment in Uganda.

• Fundraising and Resource Mobilization: Identify and secure funding opportunities to support the chapter’s activities and initiatives.

• Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to the CEO and the Uganda Steering Committee on the chapter’s progress, challenges, and achievements.

• Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate the efforts of the EAVCA Uganda team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
