The Legal Officer – Litigation will report to the Senior Legal Officer – Litigation and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for providing legal services to support business operations in accordance with Pride’s policies, procedures and the law.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Law and Diploma in Legal Practice.
- At least three years’ experience preferably in a Financial Institution or busy Law firm a valid practicing certificate.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory provisions.
- Should not be more than 30 years of age.

The Legal Officer – Litigation will report to the Senior Legal Officer – Litigation and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for providing legal services to support business operations in accordance with Pride’s policies, procedures and the law.
Requirements

- Provide legal services to Pride in a timely manner and ensure that business operations are within the established laws.
- Handle litigation matters of Pride.
- Ensure the release of the security to the clients upon completion of the loan.
- Provide legal advice to the Management and staff of Pride.
- Participate and attend various committees such as the credit committee for the approval of loans.
- Attend and disciplinary hearings, contract negotiations evaluation committees as need may arise.
- Draft agreements between Pride and service providers in order to protect Pride’s interest.
- Review and advice on the contracts submitted by service providers.
- Review the existing legal forms and documents to ensure that they are in line with the law and policy.
- Conduct securities audit to ensure they are in custody and with mortgages registered.
- Prepare a monthly compliance report to be submitted to the department head.
