The Animal Nutritionist Associate will be responsible for formulating and optimizing nutritionally balanced diets for chickens, pigs, fish, and rabbits. The Animal Nutritionist will collaborate closely with our Feed Mill Manager Enterprise team and suppliers to develop innovative feed formulations that enhance animal health, growth, and performance.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred.
  • Proven experience in formulating nutritionally balanced diets for chickens, pigs, fish, and/or rabbits.
  • Strong understanding of animal physiology, metabolism, and nutritional requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct nutritional analyses and interpret data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with clients.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards governing animal nutrition and feed production.
  • Experience in conducting research trials and experiments in animal nutrition is preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for diet formulation and nutritional analysis.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of animal nutrition.

  • Develop and formulate nutritionally balanced diets for chickens, pigs, fish, and rabbits based on species-specific requirements, growth stages, and production goals.
  • Conduct nutritional analyses of feed ingredients and finished feed to ensure compliance with industry standards and nutritional requirements.
  • Collaborate with the research and development team to stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and innovations in animal nutrition.
  • Provide technical support and consultation to clients on nutrition-related matters, including diet formulation, feeding management, and optimizing production efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate the health, growth, and performance of animals fed with formulated diets, adjusting formulations as needed to optimize results.
  • Conduct research trials and experiments to evaluate the efficacy of new feed additives, ingredients, and formulations in improving animal health and productivity.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards governing animal nutrition and feed production, ensuring compliance in all formulations and practices.
  • Collaborate with production staff to oversee quality control measures and ensure the consistency and safety of feed production processes.
  • Develop educational materials, training programs, and workshops to educate clients, farmers, and industry stakeholders on best practices in animal nutrition and feed management.
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and forums to network with peers, share knowledge, and contribute to advancements in animal nutrition science.
