The Director Marketing and Sales is responsible for planning, development and implementation of all the Corporation’s sales, marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in Sales, Marketing,  Communications and Corporate Affairs. Directs the efforts of the sales, marketing, communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Corporation


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering or Related Field from a recognized Institution.
  • Continuous Professional Development Certificates in at least three (3) of the following areas: Market Systems Development, Sales Operations and Account Management, Customer Experience, Technology Commercialization, Leadership, Management, Strategy, Business Modelling, Project Management.
  • Membership to a Relevant Professional Body
  • Master’s degree in Marketing and Sales, Technology Innovation, Business Administration, Management, Engineering or Related Field from a recognized Institution is an added advantage.

Minimum Experience

  • The applicant should have General Working Experience of at least Fifteen (15) years. The applicant should have served in a Supervisory/Management Position for at least Ten (10) years in Sales, Marketing, Product Support, Business Development and Corporate  Communications fields in a reputable organization with Marketing and Sales Experience in at least four (4) Countries on the African Continent.

  • Conduct Market Research: Research and develop annual sales and marketing strategic business plans, milestones, deliverables, Key Performance Indicators to drive revenues and increase market share.
  • Developing Marketing Strategies and Plans: Oversee the sales and marketing strategies and plans to identify, capture and develop new customers and marketing opportunities while evaluating the effectiveness of sales and marketing methods, costs, and results.
  • Identify Marketing Opportunities: Attend business seminars, conferences and workshops to track industry trends; Analyse and respond to competitors’ strategies and changes in the industry while Maximizing value from referral networks and business connections.
  • Developing Brand Strategies: Oversee development of company branding, marketing and communications materials using a winning marketing plan for new and existing product lines.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop marketing and sales budgets and allocate resources effectively while establishing and implementing short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to enhance operations and sales revenues.
  • Corporate  Communications and Strategy: Develop and implement effective corporate strategies to promote the various KMC Products and Services, considering market demands and Corporation objectives.
  • Administration and Management: Supervision and overall management of the Department of Marketing and Sales and its activities, providing technical guidance, project management and leadership and performance monitoring.
  • Skilling and Capacity Development: Lead, mentor, develop, coach, train and appraise personnel in the Department of Marketing and Sales to help them be successful in their roles and to progress in their skills and abilities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and implement Monthly Work Plans necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities and Performance Reports detailing all aspects of Sales, Product Support, Business Development and Corporate Affairs.
  • Any other duties relevant to the needs of the Corporation and as assigned.
