  • He/she should be fully registered with the Allied Professionals’ Body.

  • Liaising with ward in charges in the preparation of patients for radiographic investigation and treatment
  • Ensuring that patients are protected from radiation and radioactive materials while in the radiology unit
  • Carrying out triage ensuring that patients in urgent need of assistance are given priority
  • Carrying out radiographic imaging and submitting the reports to clinicians
  • Referring cases needing specialised imaging to others senior to him/her in the profession
  • Ensuring that equipment is secure, functional and are well maintained
  • Ensuring that processed films conform to set standards
  • Requisitioning for supplies necessary for radiological activities
  • Participating in CPDs at both departmental and hospital level
  • Teaching of students and junior staff whenever necessary
  • Participating in research whenever required to
  • Compiling and submitting relevant periodic reports as may be required
  • Adhering to professional Code of conduct at all times in the execution of his/her duties
  • Any other duty that may be assigned by accredited supervisors
