Under the supervision of the Data Entry Specialist, the incumbent’s primary responsibility will be to receive and handle data, process and send to the respective collaborating projects as well as data archiving.
Requirements
· At least a Diploma in Computer Science or Statistics.
· A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
· Data entry in a Clinical /biomedical research environment is an added advantage.
· Fluency in verbal and written English
· Highly organized and sensitive to detail
· Quick at learning and adopting to research setting environment
· Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
· Personal integrity, liable and dependable
· Perform data entry and data capture activities for CASCADE, the PEPFAR program and Research activities undertaken at MUWRP sites and other MUWRP supported health centres.
· Perform data cleaning, query management and query resolution tasks for data collected under CASCADE, the PEPFAR program, and Research activities at MUWRP.
· Work closely with the program implementation teams, the MUWRP Strategic Information (SI) department and other MUWRP data teams to ensure all CASCADE, program and Research data is entered into the respective data systems and databases in a timely and accurate manner.
· Ensure that CASCADE data is uploaded and updated via the EMR CASCADE modules as per stipulated timelines.
· Participate in the Strategic Information planning processes and provide substantial data wherever necessary that may be useful for further program and CASCADE development.
· Support program teams at lower-level facilities to present and generate accurate data from the source records.
· Closely work with program teams, and the MUWRP SI team to ensure proper CASCADE implementation.
· Continuously assess facility data needs and recommend additional EMR strategies that would support CASCADE and the project to achieve its objectives
· Ensure Health facility staff are familiar and trained on data SOPs to ensure high quality of the project’s deliverables
· Maintain confidentiality of patients’ data at all times
· Ensure the security and safe custody of patient data records, MUWRP computers, data systems and records rooms from unauthorized access
· Present weekly performance reports
· Arrange and store patient files in an orderly and secure manner, including performance of data archival tasks
· Support data entry into HIBRID and DHIS2 systems
· Perform any other relevant duties as might be assigned by your supervisor and the Data Research manager
· Promote a culture of learning and self-development within the project, by proactively documenting and disseminating data findings on programmatic outcomes, research, and lessons learnt in the implementation of health programs at Health facilities.
