At TYI-Uganda, we're dedicated to championing the rights and well-being of rural transgender youth women, transgender youth sex workers, and gender diverse youth in Uganda, with a particular focus on western Uganda. TYI-Uganda was founded in December 2017 as a response to a critical gap within the LGBTI and sex worker movements in Uganda.
