Qualifications
- 5 O' level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings / NABTEB / Trade test.
- OND in Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
- Membership of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, IOSH will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2 years cognate experience.
- Industrial experience in food/beverage manufacturing will be an added advantage.
The Person Must:
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in developing and implementing accurate records and reports including incident reports, safety data sheet.
- Proficient in conducting Safety audits and inspection to identify potential hazards.
- Able to provide emergency response support, including first aid administration and incident containment and control.

- To assist the Safety Health Environment (SHE) Manager in the implementation of global best practices in safety, health and environment programmes/activities.
The Job
- Inspect the facility to report, close out/ escalate any possibility for the occurrence of accidents, fire outbreaks and hazards to ensure prompt response and preventive resolution.
- Check the facility to ascertain that all environmental and safety equipment are in ready to use condition and keep stock and reporting each’s status as routinely required.
- Supervise the disposal of solid/general waste within the facility to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Monitor the operations within the factory to ensure appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and communicate corrections where variations exist.
- Supervise pest control activities.
- Advice and counsel employees on the implication of maintaining a safe working environment and complying with safe work ethics.
