Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Have vast knowledge arnd relevant work experience not less than ten leadership (10) years, 5 years of which should have been in a Private position or at a management level in the Public Service or Sector.
  • Possess knowledge of the organization and functions of Govemment:
  • Be in possession of Bachelor's degree in any of the following Social Sciences:
  • Public Business Administration, Management/Administration, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Finance, Economics equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Master's degree in any of the following Social Sciences: Public Administration, Business Management/Administration, Human Resource Management,
  • Strategic Management, Economics or Finance Management, equivalent qualification  from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • Fulfilled all the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010;
  • Proven communication, proficiency in computer applications and report writing skills;
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of Devolution, the County
  • Development objectives/National Goals Policies and Vision 2030;.
  • Have thorough knowledge of structural, legislative and regulatory framework of the Public Service and Administration.
  • Demonstrated understanding and comnmitment to the National Values and Principles of Governance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010;
  • Have demonstrated leadership and management capacity including knowledge of Financial Management and strategic people management; and
  • Demonstrated high degree of professional and technical competence as reflected in work performance and results; and
  • Membership to a professional association/body will be an added advantage
