Requirements for Appointment

1. Be a Citizen of Kenya;
   
2. Have served in the grade of Superintending Engineer (Structural) or comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
   
3. Have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
   
4. Have been registered with the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB);
   
5. Have a current valid annual practicing license from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB);
   
6. Corporate membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK);
   
7. Have attended a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; and
   
8. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
